Physics Simulations with Blender

Things here are all the results simulated with Bullet in Blender. Some of them were rendered for animation after baking the simulations into Ipo curves. They will show you that Bullet can calculate a complex motion of a number of objects based on physics and generate a very realistic movement of the objects. I hope you like them.

Included in Tony's Book

I'm very happy that he decided to pick up my simulation of passive walking and put it on his great famous book, titled Bounce, Tumble, and Splash! Simulating the Physical World with Blender 3D.

Congratulations on the release and thank you so much for putting it on the book, Tony!

Using External Data on BGE

Instead of receiving the inputs from keyboard or mouse, I took a test to receive external data from another application that has a different process from Blender, and I tried to display the motion produced by the received data in real time on BGE.

Modelled with Blender 2.47, run on Bullet. (Finished: 2008/09/03)

Harmonic Drive

More than 100 objects are used and can move around with collaborating the neighboring objects like a chain gear.

Modelled with Blender 2.44, simulated with Bullet, rendered with its internal. (Finished: 2007/11/02)

CVT

A long closed chain was modelled and a physics simulation was taken on BGE. You can see how it was done and how the CVT system works.

Modelled with Blender 2.44, simulated with Bullet, rendered with its internal. (Finished: 2007/09/11)

Planetary Gear Mechanism

This is a physics simulation of a planetary gear mechanism and you can see a video in which three gears are moving around the center gear.

Modelled with Blender 2.44, simulated with Bullet, rendered with its internal. (Finished: 2007/09/10)

Hitting a Chain

You will enjoy hitting a chain by throwing balls and watching fantastic motions that the chain generates in this simulation.

Modelled with Blender 2.44, simulated with Bullet. (Finished: 2007/08/29)

Pole Standing

Any one no longer have to take any action to stand a pole. Bullet will control to stand the pole automatically with a control law based on PID.

Modelled with Blender 2.44, simulated with Bullet, rendered with its internal. (Finished: 2007/06/06)
